TJ CANLON

mover, shaker, laugh-maker.
TJ Canlon is a New Yorker born theater artist and choreographer. Performing since she learned to walk, her first steps were site specific and highly anticipated by critics and fans alike. Watching old movies, memorizing the choreography, and playing all the parts in her living room ignited her passion for multitasking in theatrical disciplines. As a kid, she began working professionally in feature films such as I am Legend, as well as TV shows The Sopranos and Law and Order. She retired her child acting career to participate in her 5th grade science fair. She holds a BFA in dance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, with a concentration in choreography, summa cum laude.
Notable credits include Eleven in Netflix's Stranger Things: Immersive Experience, BLOOM by Chip Abbott, and dance captain for Randy Weiner's Another Rose onboard Virgin Voyages. In her element as a creative, she is passionate about bridging communication gaps between all kinds of artists. Combining her background as a dancer and actor with her learned exposure to music composition, intimacy coordination, and stretching all the way to acrobatic disciplines, TJ facilitates a smooth and supportive experience for everyone in the room. Her choreography has been featured at Lollapalooza, Boston Symphony Hall, Bridge for Dance NYC, and Boston Center for the Arts. She is currently writing a new musical.
Through it all, TJ hopes to some day learn to ride a bike.
